Physical Education
I'm Mr Rashid, I'm the PE Champion at Dairy Meadow
Why I enjoy my area of subject responsibility:
Physical Education has been an important part of my life since childhood, it helps me to develop my skills, knowledge, and competencies to live healthy and physically active lives for the rest of my life. Physical Education empowers everyone to participate in physical activities and this is an important part in everyone's well-being.
What I want to achieve in my subject area:
Physical education explicitly teaches the necessary knowledge and skills for working with and relating to others, and provides the learning opportunities to develop these skills. My aim is to make sure that every child at Dairy Meadow can access and take part in the curriculum regardless of their abilities.
Things to look forward to:
Throughout this academic year, there are many sports events and competitions hosted where children from every year group will be participating. These include Tenpin bowling, girls' football league and the boy's football competitions. I'm mostly looking forward to the children at Dairy Meadow participating, taking part and having fun in all of the competitions that we are taking part in.

Hello, my name is Coach Perry. I am the PE and Athletics coach here at Dairy Meadow Primary School.
Why I enjoy my area of subject responsibility:
‘Fitness is not about being better than someone else… it’s about being better than you used to be’ this is an inspirational quote I like to encourage throughout my daily PE teaching with the intention to empower all pupils to succeed and excel. I also encourage children to gain experience of a range of activities that help them to develop their health, fitness, and wellbeing.
Physical Education has always been highly important in my life from when I was a young boy, through to adulthood. In the past, I enjoyed playing professional football at a competitive level and believe, when children are provided opportunities to compete in sport, it not only supports confidence but also, health and fitness, character building and teamwork.
What I want to achieve in my subject area:
I want all children to experience a range of physical activities that support and develop their health, fitness, and wellbeing. I want all children to feel confident to engage in competitive sports and activities and to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
Things to look forward to:
We aim to compete in as many competitive sports fixtures as possible and I very much look forward to celebrating our many successes in the future!
