Our Online Platforms
Here at Dairy Meadow we pride ourselves on allowing the children the chance to practice their learning at every available opportunity. Below you will find some information about some of the sites children can use at home to increase their knowledge and enhance their skills. All children have been provided with their unique logins on a card, if there are any issues please contact the class teacher.
Bug Club
Bug Club is an online reading resource provided by Pearson Education. Here children are assigned a range of fiction and non-fiction books to read online and answer comprehension questions. All books are banded and ensure the children are given the appropriate challenge when it comes to reading. Bug Club can be accessed here.
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is the platform we use here to set tasks for children for them to complete at home. It was an invaluable resource during lockdown as our young people were able to watch videos and have a dialogue with their teacher to ensure the best possible outcomes. Maths.co.uk
Maths.co.uk is an assessment tool that allows children to test their knowledge of a wide range of SATS style questions. Teacher's can allocate areas of weakness and the children can work on these skills at home. Maths.co.uk can accessed here.
Purple Mash
Purple Mash is a platform that supports every part of the curriculum. Here teachers can set children tasks as '2 do's' before taking them in to mark. Purple Mash has a wide range of resources, make sure you check out all the awesome coding challenges in '2 Code' and test out your mental maths skills against the computer in '2 Race'. Times Table Rockstars
Pick up your guitar, smash away at those drums and try and score a number one hit single with TT Rockstars. It is a fast paced times table challenge that can only aid your child's mental mathematical fluency and allow them to quickly apply these skills in reasoning and problem solving activities. Language Angels
Think your life could do with a certain Je ne sais quois? Children can practice all their wonderful French skills they have gained during Mrs Damree's lessons through our French learning platform Language Angels.
