Online Safety Song

The online world can be an amazing place. We use it to: relax, communicate, shop and work however we must learn how to use it safely. We pride ourselves here at Dairy Meadow in having a robust approach to online safety that builds all the way through our computing curriculum. Our children are taught about: online stranger danger, spoof websites, scams and what to do in the event of feeling uncomfortable online. We appreciate that this can sometimes be difficult so there is an amazing online safety song you can use to help you remember!

Below is some information from Year 2 Marigold that you might find useful:

What can go wrong when we are online?

Although we can have fun online, we can sometimes see things on a website or in an online game that makes us feel scared, sad or uncomfortable. We may get stuck when a website or game goes wrong, or we might end up on a different website by accident. Sometimes people will try to trick you into clicking dangerous links, sharing things about yourself or something you’ve shared might be used to bully or frighten you. However, there are also lots of fun and interesting things you can do on the internet and it can be a great way to stay in touch with friends and family. At Dairy Meadow, it’s very important that we all understand how to stay safe online!
