Year 6 Visit Featherstone High.

On Thursday 12th February 2026, our young scientists in Year 6 visited Featherstone High School to visit their science labs and take part in some experiments.

Under the guidance of Mr Wyatt, our future chemists learned: how to be safe inside a science laboratory, how to use a bunsen burner and conducted a range of flame tests with metallic salts. I didn't know that strontium chloride burned with a bright purple flame!

It was an amazing experience for our Year 6's as they received a unique insight into their future science curriculum. A big thank you for everyone who helped organise.
