Year 5 Visit the GTech Community Stadium

Wednesday the 28th January 2026 was a truly memorable day for Year 5. We were invited to the home of Premier League Brentford FC, The GTech Community Stadium, to watch the semi final of the Women's Champions Cup between FC Gotham and Corinthians.

This battle between the Brazilian and American champions was a close fought affair. The Dairy Meadow crowd were firmly behind Jess Carter and her Gotham team mates, however as the stadium started to fill with Corinthian fans - our flag waving, balloon blowing, chanting fanatics quickly swapped sides! A well finished move lead to a narrow 1-0 victory for Corinthians.

Most of our children had never seen a live football match before, let alone be on the big screen! A huge thank you to all at Brentford FC for supplying us with tickets.
