Year 2 Show Off Their Stories!
Our Year 2 children recently took on a very special role… becoming storytellers for the afternoon!
In a heartwarming visit, Year 2 headed over to spend time with our Year 1 pupils, bringing their favourite stories along to share. There was a real buzz of excitement as the older children paired up with their younger friends, ready to read, perform and bring stories to life.
With expressive voices, dramatic sound effects and plenty of enthusiasm, Year 2 did a fantastic job of engaging their audience. Year 1 listened beautifully, joining in with repeated phrases, laughing at the funny moments and asking thoughtful questions about the stories.
It was wonderful to see the confidence of our Year 2 pupils shine, as well as the joy and curiosity sparked in Year 1. The session was full of smiles, laughter and a genuine love of reading shared across the classrooms.
We are so proud of how kind, patient and encouraging our Year 2 children were—they truly were brilliant reading role models. We can’t wait to see more of this fantastic partnership in the future!
