Year 2 Build Beach Huts.

Who fancies a trip to the beach in the Easter holidays?

As part of our DT unit, Marigold class designed and built beach huts, with a key focus on making them stiff, strong, and sustainable. The children had great fun constructing their models using masking tape, pipe cleaners, and lolly sticks. Throughout the process, they demonstrated excellent creativity and problem-solving skills.

This project also linked to our Skill Builders topic for the week, Dream Space, where the children explored the role of interior designers. They created mood boards for our big question which is ' how can we transfer a space for everyone to enjoy?' this allow them to consider how to design a space that creates a particular atmosphere.
