Jaspreet Kaur Author Visit.

As part of our World Book Day celebrations, Monday 9th March 2026 was a very special day for the Dairy Meadow family. We were delighted to welcome the inspiring author and poet Jaspreet Kaur to our school for a very special visit. Jaspreet is an award-winning spoken word artist, writer and former teacher who has worked with schools across the UK to share the power of storytelling and poetry.

During her visit, Jaspreet spoke to the children about her journey as a writer and how words and poetry can be used to express feelings and tell important stories. She also shared her wonderful children’s book The Spaces in Between, which explores themes of mindfulness, kindness and finding calm moments in busy places.

The pupils listened brilliantly and enjoyed taking part in discussions about creativity, emotions and the importance of reading and writing. Many children were inspired to think about how they can use their own voices and imagination through stories and poetry.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to meet a real author and learn more about the writing process. We would like to say a huge thank you to Jaspreet for visiting our school and inspiring the next generation of readers and writers.
