Dairy Meadow at the LSO
On Monday 31st March 2025, Dairy Meadow made the short journey to the London Barbican to watch an orchestral performance by the London Symphony Orchestra.
30 of our children were able to experience the sheer power and skill of one of the finest orchestras in the world. Our young musicians were introduced to each area of the orchestra: strings, woodwind, brass and percussion and heard pieces by Samuel Taylor-Coleridge and John Williams. A personal highlight for me was the sing along to Mussorgsky's Baba Yaya!
The main event was a live performance of the Lost Thing by Shaun Tan. Our children were captivated as the story was retold through music and live visuals. It was a truly unique experience.
Thank you to Miss Nessa for sorting it all out!
