Cate Douglas visits Reception and Early Years

Thursday 5th March 2026 was an extra special day here at Dairy Meadow- not only was it World Book Day but we welcomed a new member to the Dairy Meadow family, the amazing author Cate Douglas. 

Cate is a phenomenal children's writer who has illustrated and published two books, Poppy's Tail and Brave in a Cave - both of which are available on her website - https://www.bobbunbooks.com/ as well as Amazon.

Our children were able to explore her wonderful story, Poppy's Tail, and learn a little bit more about how Cate became an author. All of our young authors (and the staff) had lots of fun dressing up as Poppy and finding brand new uses for her tail!

We are truly grateful to Cate for giving up her time. A big thank you to our friends at Primary Futures who facilitated the visit as well.
