A Message from the Head Teacher
Hello and welcome!
Dairy Meadow Primary and Nursery School serves the vibrant, diverse community of Southall.
Our school ethos is summarised in four simple words:
Enjoy! Educate! Embrace! Empower!
This ethos is underpinned by our determination that every child should FLOURISH while in our care. We believe that three things are necessary for a child to flourish at school.
- We do everything possible to ensure children achieve their academic potential
We teach a broad, rich, interesting and carefully thought-out curriculum. We are ambitious for all our children. We EDUCATE, inspire, support and challenge our learners from their very first days with us. Dairy Meadow children learn in a calm, supportive environment. They learn to work together, help each other, make mistakes, try again and above all to do their very best.
- We get to know and understand every child so that they can have a positive experience of school.
Every child is an individual. We celebrate that, fostering children’s strengths and supporting any needs. We value and promote kindness and patience, friendliness and humour. We strive for all children to ENJOY their education, building a love of learning, which allows children to EMBRACE the challenge, thrill and satisfaction of acquiring new skills and knowledge.
- We ensure children develop the personal, social and emotional skills they need now and for the future.
We set children up to succeed, both now and in the future. We are proud to be a one of only three Flagship Primary Schools in the country for the Skills Builder Partnership. Through this programme, children develop the life skills of Teamwork, Leadership, Speaking, Listening, Aiming High, Staying Positive, Creativity and Problem Solving. We hold regular careers events to EMPOWER and inspire our children. We nurture our children through personalised pastoral support which builds their self-confidence, resilience and empathy.
